FINIS! on the Art Postcards!

I hope that my American readers had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We celebrated at a local nice restaurant, and I will tell more about that later. I finally finished the postcards I was doing for some other ladies who have this same illness. It was a protracted project because of my own illness, and some of the photos may seem a bit out of focus because my fibro has made it difficult to bend over. But all that aside, I hope you enjoy looking at them!

The beginning posts are herehere and here, if you would like to see how things started and how they progressed. The materials I used include printed tissue paper, acrylic paints, soft gel, silver leaf pen, gold leaf pen and copper leaf pen, sequins, pages from old books and music sheets, "gems", metal pieces, postage stamps, dried flower petals, old jewelry, and stencil.

Continuing with the Postcards

A few weeks back, I was starting a project making postcards to send to some others who are suffering from the same debilitating illness I have. It was interrupted by a painting I wanted to finish, and a relapse. The beginning posts are here and here, if you would like to see how things started and how they progressed. They are all collage and mixed media.

Now, I have come to the point where I have cut the foam core apart to do individual details; here's what it looked like before I cut it:

I will have 12 postcards total and will be sending them out soon.

There are finishing touches to be done, and the ones with the hearts (which was the board in the 1st picture) still has the furtherest to go. There's always waiting time for things to dry, so that's why you are seeing it in steps! Some of the postcards will be flat, and the majority will be on foam core board.
